faces north-east(sits 坤, faces 艮)
Has:sheltered from the wind all round, a low hill screening the view aheadCould be stronger:the hill behind is too steep and close, the hill on the left is too high and close
The seat scored lies about 125 m from the main building. Computed from public elevation data (2026-10-14); ground only, buildings not counted, not reviewed by a feng shui master.
The place
Completed in 1855, the governor's residence under British rule and the Chief Executive's since 1997. Popular lore says the sharp edges of the Bank of China Tower point at it, and willows were planted inside to deflect them.
Why this score
It sits on the steep northern slope of Victoria Peak: the hill behind is too steep and too high, bearing down on the seat (a home wants a back hill about 9° high; here it is over 20°), and the left side is weak. In its favour: no wind gap, a screen in the distance, and the harbour in front.
