Famous sites, read by the ground

The same terrain reading as Explore Land Veins, applied to famous palaces, temples, shrines and tombs: which of them truly sit on good ground, and which owe their fame to something else.

How it is scored: a famous site is a whole precinct, not a point, and the elevation data is about 30 m a cell. So each one is scored at its best seat within about 150 m of the main building (75 m for a tomb) — what you would get by searching that spot on the map. Ground only; buildings are not counted.

The ground itself is good

These need no help from builders: a hill behind, arms on either side, an open front — the reading finds them.

Famous, but not for their ground

A low score does not mean poor feng shui: many palaces and tombs answer to a setting tens of kilometres wide, or made their hills and water by hand, while this reading looks two or three kilometres out. Each says what the reading found.

Worked out from public elevation data, not seen by a feng shui master. It doesn't mean the land may be used — check who owns it and whether you may build on it or use it (planning and burial rules) yourself.
